CALL: Recruitment within the framework of the call from the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) for the creation, implementation and promotion of Joint Research Units. This call is funded by the own Agency and the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the framework of Spanish Strategy for Innovation in Galicia.
 
DESCRIPTION OF JOB POSITIONS: a maximum of 8 Research Contracts for the JOINT RESEARCH UNIT (UMI) REPSOL-ITMATI.
 
The research lines of the JOINT RESEARCH UNIT (UMI) will be related to mathematical and computational techniques to solve large and complex optimization problems in the energy sector. The staff will perform research activities related to the following fields: modelling, optimization, numerical simulation (EDP models), computation and programming.
 
TECHNICAL SCIENTIST IN CHARGE: Professor Dr. Alfredo Bermúdez de Castro López-Varela (Principal Researcher), Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, and affiliated researcher of ITMATI.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILES: BSc, MSc, PhD related to Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Computing.
