PROJECT: Joint Research Unit (UMI) REPSOL-ITMATI

NOTICE: Procurement under the resolution of 6 October 2014 amending the aid research institutions of Galicia for the creation, implementation and promotion of joint research units awarded. This call is funded by the Galician Research Agency itself and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness under the Spanish Innovation Strategy in Galicia.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 1 contract as a researcher / a for the Joint Research Unit (UMI) REPSOL-ITMATI full time.

The research lines of the Joint Unit (UMI) are related to the development of mathematical and computational techniques to solve numerical simulation and optimization of large size and complexity that arise in the Energy Sector. Staff who joins in this call made research work in some of the research areas to be developed in the UMI: modeling, optimization, numerical simulation (EDP's models), and computer programming.

Scientific Director: Professor Dr. Alfredo Bermudez de Castro López-Varela, Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, and attached to ITMATI researcher.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: Doctors / as related to Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Computing.
