Between 18-20 June it took place in Dublin the EuroNanoForum 2013 conference. The themes of the 2013 conference program included key technologies such as: industrial application and commercialization of nanotechnology, pilot lines and demonstrations, financial instruments, health, environment and water, food, transport, nanoelectronics, and nano-measurement tools.
The Sustainable Energy Development session highlighted how nanotechnology can solve many of the major scientific and technological challenges of energy production. The speakers in this session included Winfried Hoffmann, President of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association, John Meschter, Director of Technical Development at G24i and Jesus Isoird, Program Manager for Research and Innovation in Acciona.
Approach the universty to the markets was one of the most important issues of the ENF 2013. ITMATI participated in the bis2match meetings held on 20 June, in which various Industrial Research Institutes, Universities and Companies from all over Europe gathered.
Funding to participate in this conference came from the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology - Ministry of Economy and Competitiviness in the frame of the project "Mathematics as an innovative element for innovation in industry".
