Galician industrial mathematics the most active in Spain
The research groups working in the areas of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research in Galicia are the most productive, in recent years, in transferring technology to industry. They have been collaborating for over 20 years with numerous companies nationwide and also in the Vigo area.
The research groups of the three Galician universities working in the field of industrial mathematics launched three months ago a consortium, the Technological Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITMATI), a unique organisation in Spain created to unify all knowledge and experience that exists in Galicia and put it at the service of companies, industries and public administrations.
