Director of ITMATI and President of math-in, Peregrina Quintela, presents these two infrastructures transfer in the I Iberian Modelling Week
The I Iberian Modelling Week is aimed at University students in Mathematics and intends to give them the experience of working in mathematical modelling under the supervision of a specialized teacher. In this way, they will have the opportunity to approach identical problems that they might find on the marketplace, as well as to develop their teamwork skills, critical thinking, rigour and scientific communication. Additionally, we want to raise awareness of the companies to the contribution that mathematicians can give to the industry.

On Thursday September 11th Director of ITMATI and President of the math-in Red, Peregrina Quintela, will perform the following discussion. Title: “An overview of some Spanish infrastructure focused on promoting the transfer of mathematics to industry”
Abstract:
In the talk two infrastructures aimed at boosting transfer to industry will be presented: The Spanish Network for Mathematical and Industry (math-in) and the Technological Institute of Industrial Mathematics (ITMATI). Some details of how they were formed, the type of legal entity chosen, the research groups within them, their operating protocols will be given.
