The ECMI 2021 conference was held as an online conference hosted by the Bergische Universität Wuppertal from April 13th to April 15th 2021. For the ROMSOC project, Umberto Morelli participated in the minisymposium "MS20 – The European Industrial Doctorate ROMSOC", in which four of the early stage researchers report on their specific research questions and results achieved so far.

Wednesday, April 14 - 2021, 11:10 – “A Numerical Approach for Real-Time Boundary Condition Estimation Using Data Assimilation in Thin Slabs Continuous Casting Molds” by  Umberto Emil Morelli, Patricia Barral, Peregrina Quintela, Gianluigi Rozza, Giovanni Stabile.

In addition to participating in the event, Professor Andrés Prieto contributed to the open discussions at the CT04 - Contributed Talks (Thursday, April 15, 17:50).
