Shor's algorithm and the foundations of quantum computing

In the framework of the Program of "Seminario de Iniciación a la Investigación 2015/2016" on March 2, 2016 the talk : El algoritmo de Shor y las bases de la computación cuántica will take place. This talk will be give by Joaquín Ossorio Casillo, hired researcher of ITMATI.

Summary:

In 1994, Peter W. Short described the first breakthrough of quantum computation over classical computing, efficient factorization algorithm designed for a quantum computer. In this talk briefly explain the theoretical principles of quantum computation needed to understand the Shor algorithm and the main ideas behind this work.
